IT IS STARTING TO RAIN IN THE WEST

It seems that the rainy season has started in Fiji.

I was told yesterday, October 15, by our security guard, that it has started to rain in the west, as in Nadi and Lautoka.

For all these months, it was hot and dry in the west.

As I passed through Nadi a number of times this year, it was always hot and dry - in June, July, August and September.

While it has been hot and dry in the west in all these months, Suva has had rain.

Suva's weather is so different.

Even in the dry season in the Pacific, from July-September, rain still falls in Suva.

I was told that when I first arrived in Suva a year ago.

The weather in the west is like what is experienced in Solomon Islands and PNG.

Suva is different.
